The Wildcats triumphed over the Marquand Tigers, 81-42, at Leopold's homecoming game Jan. 12.
The first quarter was close, but Leopold pushed ahead to end with a big win. The crowd put their hands together when senior Caleb Rosanna entered the court near the end of the fourth quarter, and cheers erupted when he sunk a basket.
In a ceremony following the game, Addison Engelen was crowned homecoming queen, and Brady Halter was named Mr. Varsity. Both are seniors. Engelen was escorted by senior Keegan Deck; and Halter escorted junior Ava Jansen.
Retiring homecoming queen Carly Jansen, who came back from college to attend the coronation, was escorted by junior Joshua Horrell.
Also included in the homecoming court were senior Erin Schreckenberg escorted by senior Will Retz; junior Hallie Halter escorted by senior Noland Beussink; junior Lily Cook escorted by senior Austin Broshuis; and junior Madison Massa escorted by Rosanna.
