Jason LeGrand, a senior at Southeast Missouri State University, was recently elected speaker pro tem of the Missouri House of Representatives during a 1996 mock legislative session.
The session was part of LeGrand's activities as a student intern for Rep. Mark Richardson, R-Poplar Bluff. He began the internship in January.
The speaker pro tem is the second highest leadership position in the mock legislative program.
