Jackson American Legion will conduct a Memorial Day Service Monday at 9 a.m. at the entrance to the Old Jackson City Cemetery.
Ceremonies will begin with a half hour of music by the Jackson Municipal Band. At 9:30 a.m., following opening remarks by Milford P. Kirn, commander, American Legion Post No. 158, there will be a presentation of colors, the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.
Guest speaker for the ceremony will be Lt. Rick P. Bradley, chaplain for the U.S. Naval Training Center in Cape Girardeau.
The entrance to the Old Jackson City Cemetery is on South High Street, next to the Jackson Frozen Food Locker.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the American Legion Hall in Jackson.
