New Veterans Tribute scholarship available

A new scholarship from the Veterans of Foreign Wars is now available to local students whose parents or grandparents are military veterans, or are active duty, Reserve or National Guard. Children 16 to 18 are eligible for The Veterans Tribute Scholarship, which includes a first-place award of $10,000, second-place award of $5,000 and third place of $3,000. Awards will be made on a point system based on the applicant's personal academic achievement, family VFW involvement and their parent's or grandparent's military service.
