Regent's scholarship awarded to Oran student

Sarah R. Gaines of Oran, Mo., recently received a regent's scholarship from Southeast Missouri State University. Gaines is the daughter of John and Debbie Gaines of Oran and is a student at Notre Dame Regional High School. The scholarship is for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Phi Beta Kappa inducts Stahr into chapter

Stephen Stahr was recently inducted in the Dartmouth College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Stahr is the son of Nancy C. Stahr and William D. Stahr of Cape Girardeau.

Area students named to college honors lists

Sara Heisserer of Oran, Mo., was recently named to the president's list at Williams Baptist College for the fall 2004 semester. The president's list includes those full-time students who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while the dean's list is made up of those with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Katherine A. Cole has been named to the fall 2004 semester dean's list at McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill. She is the daughter of Bill and Susan Cole of Cape Girardeau.

Andrew Obermann of Chaffee, Mo., was named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo.
