Southeast University awards scholarships

Regents' scholarships

Kristin Hetherington, Stephen Dixon and Jessica Westrich, all of Cape Girardeau, Kelly McLendon and Rachel Sadler, both of Jackson, and Jessica Livingston of Whitewater have been awarded Regents' scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Hetherington, a senior at Jackson High School, is the daughter of Jody Taylor of Cape Girardeau and Mark Hetherington of Cape Girardeau.

Dixon, a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, is the son of Douglas and Angela Dixon of Cape Girardeau.

Westrich, a senior at Notre Dame Regional High School, is the daughter of Jennifer and Mark Westrich of Cape Girardeau.

McLendon and Sadler are seniors at Jackson High School. McLendon is the daughter of the late Kathy McLendon. Sadler is the daughter of Albert and Cynthia Sadler of Jackson.

Livingston is a senior at Delta High School. She is the daughter of John and Mary Livingston of Whitewater.

President's Plus scholarship

Jackson students Caitlin Hyslop and Leslie McNeely were awarded President's Plus Scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University.

Hyslop and McNeely are both seniors at Jackson High School.

Hyslop is the daughter of Roger and Vicky Hyslop of Jackson.

McNeely, who also received a Missouri Leadership Award, is the daughter of Daryl and Nancy McNeely of Jackson.

President's scholarships

Ben Jansen and Jason Schenimann, both of Scott City, Madalyn Graham, Jessica McCulley, David Horn and Cody Cardwell, all of Jackson; Christina Cato and Jonathan Bernhardt, both of Cape Girardeau; Katie Spalding of Benton, Mo., and Stephanie Edwards of Patton, Mo., have been awarded President's scholarships to attend SEMO.

Jansen, a senior at Scott City High School, is the son of B.J. and Doris Jansen of Scott City. He also received the Boy's State Leadership Award.

Schenimann, a senior at Scott City High School, also received the Missouri Leadership Award. He is the son of Tamara Schenimann of Scott City and the late Darrell Schenimann.

Graham, a senior at Jackson High School, is the daughter of Scott and Deborah Graham of Jackson.

McCulley, a senior at Jackson High School, also received a Missouri Leadership Award. She is the daughter of Terry and Robyn McCulley of Jackson.

Horn, a senior at Jackson High School, is the son of Bernie and Kathy Horn of Jackson.

Cardwell, a senior at Jackson High School, is the son of Joyce and and Ralph Hayes of Jackson.

Cato, a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, also received a Girl's State Leadership Award. She is the daughter of David and Debbie Cato of Cape Girardeau.

Bernhardt, a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, also received a Missouri Leadership Award and a Boy's State Leadership Award. He is the son of Barry and Laurie Bernhardt of Cape Girardeau.

Spalding, a senior at Notre Dame Regional High School, is the daughter of John and Lisa Spalding of Benton.

Edwards, a senior at Meadow Heights High School, is the daughter of Jacqueline Byram of Patton.

Missouri Leadership Award

Madalyn Bruegging of Jackson has been awarded a Missouri Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2005-2006 academic year. A senior at Jackson High School, she is the daughter of Kathryn King of Jackson and Robert Bruegging of Bay Village, Ohio.

Malachiah Campbell of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Raymond H. and Rosalind J. Vogel Endowed Scholarship.

Christina Gonzales of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Rev. P.A. and Ella May Kasey Endowed Scholarship.

Shannon Smith of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Bill and Pat Limbaugh Atchley Endowed Scholarship.

Jennifer Markin of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Ruth Humphreys Munger Endowed Scholarship.

Kari Anne Gaskill of Millersville, recipient of the E. Gene Greable Accounting Endowed Scholarship and the Margaret "Peggy" Spradling Accounting Endowed Scholarship.

Kandee Metje of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Cecil Elsie Gross Education Endowed Scholarship, the Marie Furquhar Dormeyer Endowed Scholarship and the Dr. John Hinni Endowed Scholarship.

Seth McDowell of Jackson, recipient of the Walter H. "Doc" Ford Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Courtney Wesbecher of Marble Hill, Mo., recipient of the Chemistry Alumni Endowed Scholarship.

Deanne Ackley of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Jeanine Larson Dobbins Endowed Scholarship.

Amanda Otte of Cape Girardeau, recipient of the Katherine Cochran Endowed Scholarship.

Roxane Magnus of Cape Girardeau and Louisa Kinder of Cairo, Ill., recipients of the Frances and Cornelius Crowley Spanish Club Scholarship.
