ANNA, Ill. -- Anna voters selected eight of 10 candidates during Tuesday's primary for the Anna City Commission.
Allen James, a student at the Southern Illinois University School of Law, garnered the most votes, finishing with 565. David Tellor, Alan Roberts, Glenn Rosson, Elbert Gee, Roy Dillow, Robin Dillon and Lawrence Boyer followed.
Candidates Betty Plott and Donald Tripp were eliminated.
Voters will select four of the eight to fill city commission seats in the April 4 general election. All four commissioners whose seats will become open -- Tellor, Dillow, Rosson and Boyer -- are running for re-election, and all four made it past the primary election.
The vote: Lawrence Boyer, 315; David Tellor, 554; Glenn Rosson, 414; Alan Roberts, 479; Roy Dillow, 372; Betty Plott, 286; Allen James, 565; Donald Tripp, 240; Elbert Gee, 388; and Robin Dillon, 335.
