The home, on the National Register of Historic Places was designed in 1883 by architect Edwin Branch Deane for his daughter, Lulu and her husband, David A. Glenn, a Cape Girardeau merchant and banker. The family lived here until 1915.

The Historical Association for Greater Cape Girardeau restored the home. Its rooms have been decorated to depict a 1900-era Christmas. Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children. Refreshments are available in the carriage house. The Glenn House is at 325 S. Spanish St.; call 334-1177 for more information.
