The new 100-foot ladder truck was officially put into service by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department during a dedication ceremony Monday. The truck will be housed at the fire station No. 1 at South Sprigg Street. The department's 1986 aerial platform truck will be kept on reserve at the fire station No. 2 on South Mount Auburn Road.
