KRCU radio will broadcast a new series called "Travel Notes" this month.
The programs on 90.9 FM, the region's Public Radio affiliate station, will feature interviews with area residents who attended musical events in Europe and the United States over the summer.
The series will begin at 7 p.m. today with Chris Goeke, associate professor of music at Southeast Missouri State University, speaking about his trip to Germany.
KRCU will air new interviews every Wednesday night through Oct. 31.
The remaining programs will feature Gary Miller, music department chairman at Southeast, on his trip to Germany; Mary Mims, vocal and instrumental music instructor at Nell Holcomb School, on her trip to Vienna, Austria; Leslie Jones, assistant professor of music at Southeast, on her visit to the Berkshire Festival in Connecticut, and Barb Herbert, host of KRCU's "Sunday Night at the Opera," on her trip to Verona, Italy.
