The Kmart store in Cape Girardeau is taking on a new look.
"We're converting to the Big K format," said store manager Bill Marra.
Remodeling began at at the store, 11 S. Kingshighway earlier this week, and will continue through mid-August.
"We're looking a grand re-opening in August," said Marra.
The 80,000 square foot store will undergo complete remodeling, but will remain open through the two-month process.
More than half of the Kmart Corporation's 2,160 stores nationally have been converted to the Big K format.
