KIRBY CO. OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI NOW OPERATING UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP; COSTELLO PURCHASES LOCAL DEALERSHIP

The Kirby Co. of Southeast Missouri is under new ownership.

Tim Costello, who operated a Kirby office in Clinton, Iowa, for three years, has purchased the local office at 255 S. Plaza Way.

"I've been in the Kirby business for more than five years," said Costello. "Before operating the Clinton business, I was a Kirby salesman. I'm looking forward to the Cape Girardeau area."

The company provides a complete line of Kirby home maintenance systems, said Costello.

"In addition to Kirby shampooers and vacuums, we have complete lines of shampoos, bags and belts, spot removers and other parts and equipment," said Costello. "We're the only factory-authorized service center in Cape Girardeau."

A Kirby center has been in Cape Girardeau for more than 40 years.

The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Costello and his wife, Karen, who is also involved in the business, recently moved to Cape Girardeau.
