Kinder accuses Carnahan of biased ballot language on insurance exchange

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder's next battles against the law critics call "ObamaCare" has him facing off against another state official.

Kinder is accusing Secretary of State Robin Carnahan of abusing her office by writing biased ballot language related to health insurance exchanges. The legislature voted to put the establishment of state-run exchanges on the ballot this year.

Carnahan is an outspoken supporter of the law. Her official ballot summary reads, in part, "Shall Missouri law be amended to deny individuals, families, and small businesses the ability to access affordable health care plans through a state-based health benefit exchange unless authorized by statute, initiative or referendum or through an exchange operated by the federal government as required by the federal health care act?"

Kinder says he's challenging the ballot language in court.
