SIKESTON -- The 20th annual Charity Walk for the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center has been set for Oct. 23.
One client is already gearing up for the event: Amber VanVickle of Morehouse has been selected as this year's poster child.
She is 7 and has been going to the center since she was 2 months old. She attends Sikeston public schools and is receiving physical and occupational therapy services.
The annual event is sponsored by Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319. As part of the event, members of the Eagles will sell raffle tickets for a pontoon boat. Tickets for the boat are $2 or three for $5.
Following the walk, an auction will be held. Sponsor sheets will be available at local schools, churches and businesses.
For more information and to get sponsor sheets, call the CP Center at 472-0397.
