KENNETT, Mo. — The founder of The Clink, a Facebook page dealing with law enforcement and other issues in the Kennett area, was arrested Tuesday evening by Kennett police on a charge of making a terroristic threat, a class C felony.
Sherr Harden of Kennett is free on a $25,000 surety bond.
According to a probable-cause affidavit from the Kennett Police Department, the department received several calls Monday from people stating they had seen their name on a “hit list.”
According to the affidavit, “The individuals stated they were not sure if someone was out to do them harm or what the ‘hit list’ meant, or why their names were even on this list.”
On Tuesday, “During an interview (with KPD), she admitted to making a post on Facebook posting a hit list of 10 individuals,” Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff McCormick said Tuesday night. “Basically if alarm is caused to 10 or more people, that’s what pushes it to C felony range. I think anytime you use the term ‘hit list,’ it doesn’t bring about a good connotation. You don’t know what can come from that.”
According to a picture of the post seen by the Daily Dunklin Democrat, 12 names were on it.
The Clink Facebook page is not up at this time.
Harden is scheduled to appear for arraignment Tuesday.
Harden did not reply to a request for an interview.
