KENNETT -- The Kennett Board of Education has adopted a record $9.9 million budget for the 1994-'95 school year.
Projected expenses during the year are $9,964,614 and anticipated revenues are $9,992,600.
Superintendent Larry Ewing said: "In the past I have traditionally tended to be conservative on the receipt side and aggressive on the expenditure side. I would hope that I have done that again."
The state will pay the district $4.3 million, local taxes will amount to $3.9 million, the federal government will pay $1.4 million, and county government will contribute $230,500. The largest portion of expenditures -- $1.8 million -- will go to education of students in grades kindergarten through fifth.
