HAYTI, Mo. -- A 49-year-old Kennett man was arrested on drug charges at Hayti following a traffic stop.
According to authorities, police officers pulled over a vehicle Thursday night for improper registration.
Officers obtained consent to search the vehicle and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
When the driver of the vehicle, Henry R. Hall, was told he was under arrest, he allegedly grabbed the evidence and tried to swallow the marijuana.
Hall was charged with resisting arrest, hindering prosecution, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper registration and no seat belt.
He was released after posting a $985 cash-only bond and was given a court date of March 1.
