* The regular monthly meeting of the Kelso School Board in New Hamburg, Missouri, was called to order by president Sarah Moore at 6 p.m.
* Six board members were present: Elizabeth Glastetter, Leonna Heuring, Jennifer Kern, Matt Klipfel, Sarah Moore and Ryan Steimle. Others present were Kim Burger, superintendent, and Linda Senciboy, board secretary.
* The agenda and consent agenda were approved as presented.
* The board reviewed, amended and approved as amended the communicable diseases portion of the student parent handbook.
* Evaluation goals were established for Burger as the district administrator.
* The board discussed and approved to host an on-site training provided by MSBA.
* The vacant position on the board was discussed and will be further discussed at the November regular meeting.
Superintendent's report
* A facility maintenance update was given.
* A transportation maintenance update was given.
* Upcoming dates of district activities were shared.
* The board went into closed session at 7:05 p.m. for the purpose of hiring, firing, discipline or promoting of employees and returned to open session at 7:07 p.m.
* Maryssa Campbell and Donald Wilgus were hired as substitute teachers.
* The next regular meeting will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 12.
* Meeting was adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
