KELLY STUDENT ATTENDS TRAINING SESSION FOR FHA

Emily Shanks, a senior at Kelly High School in Benton, recently completed an eight-day leadership training session, from July 30 to Aug. 6 at the Future Homemakers of America's National Headquarters and Leadership Center in Reston, Va.

Shanks and nine other members of the national executive Council prepared for their roles as national representatives. This is just one of her duties as a national officer. She was elected to the position at the National Leadership Meeting, attended by more than 3,000 students in Orlando, Fla., in July.
