BENTON -- No drugs were found during an unannounced search last week at Thomas W. Kelly schools.
Scott County Sheriff's deputies and the K-9 unit of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety conducted the search Thursday.
"No drugs of any type were found and no searches of any individual person were conducted," High School Principal Tom Allen said in a press release.
Student lockers and the parking lot were searched. It was the first drug search this year at the school.
Future searches are expected, Allen said.
