KELLY SCHOOL BOARD NAMES SUPERINTENDENT

BENTON -- The Scott County R-4 (Kelly) Board of Education has appointed Don Abner superintendent.

Board members selected Abner during a meeting Tuesday night. Abner, currently superintendent of Bell City schools, has worked in that district 17 years, 10 as superintendent.

Abner replaces Jim Evans, who has been interim superintendent since September. Evans accepted the temporary position after Ron McSorley resigned to accept a position as area supervisor for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
