KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An armed man was fatally shot by a Kansas City police officer after raising his gun.
Officers were responding to a call Friday and were told the man was intoxicated inside the home.
The woman who called said she was a relative and he had threatened her with the gun.
Police say the man confronted an officer who went to the front door. The man was shot after raising his gun.
Police released no other details of the incident Friday, but said authorities were investigating how the shooting occurred.
The officer, who was not injured, was placed on paid administrative leave.
