Kage FCE Club Celebrates 60th Anniversary
Representatives from various Cape County FCE (family and community education) Clubs joing the members of Kage FCE Club in celebration of their 60th anniversary. The reception was held at the County Extension Center in Jackson.

In celebration of the Kage FCE Club's 60th anniversary members recited the pledge of allegiance and sang the Club Collect followed by an informal discussion about family life and homemaking. A program, "Then and Now," was led by Judie Herbst and Shirley Palen. Members shared memories of family and community education topics from past years and spoke of the relevance to social and economic issues of the times. Humorous anecdotes, stories and refreshments were enjoyed.
The club began in 1944 with a membership of nine and ended that year with 16 members. Over its 60-year existence the club has fluctuated between 15 and 25 active members. Current membership is 20. Combined, the members have served the club a total number of 327 years.
