Eleven of Alderman Joe Bob Baker's campaign signs and one Jim Litzelfelner sign were found early Wednesday morning, three days after Baker reported about 50 of his were stolen. Sheriff's Lt. Vince Diebold said a jogger called the department around 7:15 a.m., saying he noticed a neatly stacked pile of signs near County Road 541, near Route W. "I'm glad I got them back," Baker said. "I'd like to get them all back." Baker originally said 50 or 60 signs had been stolen all across town, from Hope Street to Farmington Road and at his salvage business on West Jackson Boulevard. After a closer inventory, he estimated the number of signs that were missing were about 40. He said the signs were valued at $4 apiece. Litzelfelner is running against Baker for the Ward 4 seat in the April 6 election.
