The "Faculty Three and Friends," a jazz group from the Department of Music at Southeast Missouri State University, will give a concert Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
The "Faculty Three" consists of music professors Dr. Dan Dunavan, drummer; Dr. David Green, bassist; and Dr. Jerry Richardson, guitarist.
This is an annual event for which the trio invites area jazz musicians to perform with them. This year, the group will be joined by jazz trombonist Rod Lancaster, who studied jazz at North Texas State University, where he played with the "One-o'clock Band."
Lancaster is currently performing on a Carribean cruise ship.
The group will also feature jazz pianist Bud Miget, violinist Steve Schaffner and vocalist Dave Andrews.
Students will be admitted at no cost with valid identification; tickets for the general public will be $3.
