Another $1,310,740 in assessments resulted from annexation of new land into the city last year.

Bowen said the final section of the Orchard Drive paving project is done with the backfill to be completed later this week.
He said the intersection of Jackson Trails and Highway 25 has been paved and another 600 feet of concrete should be poured today.
Bowen said plans are complete for phase 2 of the East Jackson sanitary sewer extension. The project could be ready for bidding at the July 15 or Aug. 5 meeting, he said.
City Administrator Carl Talley reminded residents the weeks of July 8-12 and July 15-19 are clean-up, fix-up weeks in Jackson. The city sponsors the improvement project in the spring, summer and fall.
