JACKSON WOMAN WINS $52,000

A Christmas bonus came just a day late for Beverly A. Ford of Jackson. She won $52,000 Thursday playing the Missouri Lottery's "Weekly Grand" Scratchers game.

The top prize is $1,000 a week for a year of $52,000 in two lump sums. Ford chose the second option.

She bought her winning ticket at Amerimart, 865 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, where she is the manager. She plans to pay bills with her winnings.

To date, two other Missouri Lottery players have claimed "Weekly Grand" top prizes. Those winning tickets were purchased in Mindenmines and in St. Louis.
