A collection of 32 oil paintings of portraits, still life and landscapes by Jackson artist Connie Blattner will be on exhibit at the Cleda Curtis Art Studio, 133 W. Railroad St., in Oran during July.
An opening reception for the public will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the art studio.
Growing up in Southeast Missouri, Blattner was always interested in art. For the past five years she has studied with artist Cleda Curtis-Neal. In May she won first place in oil painting at the Sikeston Art League Competition Show.
Blattner maintains a studio in rural Jackson where she lives with her husband and three children.
