According to a news release from the Jackson Police Department, police arrested a 39-year-old woman after seizing more than a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash exceeding $2,500 from a residence in the 200 block of West Mary Street.

Jackson police arrested a 39-year-old woman after seizing more than a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash exceeding $2,500 from a residence in the 200 block of West Mary Street, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department. Police executed a search warrant Friday, and Rebecca A. Engert was arrested in connection with the findings. Engert was charged by Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, police said. Bond was set at $25,000.
