ChloZ Kasten, a second-grade student at St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson, recently received a second-place award for her drawing submitted to the Missouri Recycling Association art contest for a 2006 calendar. MORA recruited entries from more than 3,700 students, kindergarten to grade 12, from Missouri public and private schools. MORA recruited entries from more than 3,700 students, kindergarten to grade 12, from Missouri public and private schools. Entries were judged on artistic merit and how well they expressed the theme of America Recycles Day, "Recycling: It all comes back to you."

First-place, second-place and honorable mention winners from each grade level were awarded with a T-shirt and calendar featuring their artwork along with a certificate signed by the governor and president of MORA.

ChloZ attended the MORA annual Recycling Awareness Day at the Rotunda of the state Capitol where she visited with her state Rep. Scott Lipke and received a brief tour of the Capitol. She also met members of the House of Representatives and was made an honorary page for the day.
