A Jackson School Board member has achieved master certification in the Missouri School Boards' Association Certified Board Member program.
Bruce V. Thomas completed the program established by MSBA to help local school board members. Master certification is the higher of two levels of certification available above the state's required training. The board member also must read four books related to school board service and write an essay that connects the subjects they have studied to the school district they serve.
Thomas was first elected to the board in April 2008.
