The Missouri Forest Products Association will honor Mark Nussbaum of Jackson at its annual State Tree Farm Conference on Saturday. The Missouri Forest Products Association will honor Mark Nussbaum of Jackson at its annual State Tree Farm Conference on Saturday.

Scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the University of Missouri Extension office in Jackson, the conference will feature presentations on insuring timber, the state of Missouri's forests and salvaging fallen timber, a silent auction and an awards ceremony that will include Nussbaum receiving 2009 State Tree Farmer of the Year.

Participants may tour Nussbaum's 610-acre tree farm in Cape Girardeau County. Three stops on the tour of his farm will highlight establishing walnut plantations, managing veneer quality oak stands and managing new hardwood tree plantings.
