The city of Jackson has released information on the quality of its drinking water.
The required annual report, known as the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Consumer Confidence Report, must be made available to water customers by July 1 and describes the water sources used in the city's water system, identifies contaminants found during routine testing and provides general information on drinking water.
Jackson "encourages customers to read their water system's Consumer Confidence Report and become better informed about their drinking water," Jackson public works director Rodney Bollinger said by news release Tuesday.
Copies of the report are available at Jackson City Hall and online at www.jacksonmo.org.
