Guest soprano Martha Dahlberg will present a voice recital at 8 p.m. today at Old St. Vincent's Church.
A resident of Rockford, Ill., Dahlberg will be accompanied on piano by Southeast alumnus Ryan Kasten of Jackson, Mo.
She will sing music by Marcello, Giordani, Stradella, Faure, Brahms and Wagner.
Dahlberg is a private voice instructor. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in voice performance from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Kasten studied organ with Dr. Gary Miller and piano with Dr. James Sifferman at Southeast. He received a master's degree in music from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
He is the minister of music at the First Presbyterian Church in Rockford. He accompanied the Rockvalley Community Chorale for its performance in New York's Carnegie Hall and recently was the harpsichord soloist for the performance of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with the Bach Chamber Orchestra of Rockford.
