A Jackson man was seriously injured Thursday evening as the vehicle he was driving ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment and tree off County Road 335, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash reports Web site. The 2001 Mercedes driven by Tracy L. Kaminskey, 44, was totaled.

Kaminskey was traveling 4 miles southwest of Jackson when the accident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. He was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
