A Jackson man was killed and his brother injured Sunday when the all-terrain vehicle on which they were riding struck a tree four miles east of Pocahontas.
Earl Graham, 42, of Jackson was a passenger on the ATV driven by his brother, Roger Graham, 34, of Cape Girardeau.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday the vehicle on which the two men were riding traveled through a T-intersection at County Road 525 and County Road 532. The vehicle then went down a steep embankment and struck a tree.
Earl Graham was taken by helicopter to Southeast Missouri Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His brother, Roger Graham, sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Graham's death is the 61 traffic fatality in Troop E this year.
