A Jackson man received serious injuries from a Thursday afternoon crash near Jackson, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash reports website.

Matthew J. Kight, 22, was injured when his 2002 Pontiac ran into the back of a 2006 Buick driven by 35-year-old Misty D. Griffin of Jackson while she was waiting to make a left turn on U.S. 61 three miles north of Jackson at 4:50 p.m.

The crash reports site had no information about any citations issued in the crash.

Griffin received minor injuries. She and Kight were both taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center.
