A Jackson man was charged Saturday with two counts of the felony sale of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school.

Judge Gary Kamp set Craig R. Meyer's bond at $40,000 cash or corporate surety. Meyer faces a penalty, if found guilty, of 10 to 30 years in prison or up to life in prison.

Meyer, 47, allegedly sold methamphetamine on two different occasions to an undercover narcotics investigator at Jackson Frozen Food Lockers, 400 S. High St.

Jackson Frozen Food Lockers, which Meyer reportedly owns, is within 2,000 feet of Jackson High School.

Officers from the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant at the business Friday and reportedly uncovered items of drug paraphernalia. Meyer was arrested at that time.
