Jackson man dies in Perry County crash
A Jackson man was killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 51. The accident occurred at 3:40 a.m., half a mile north of Route C in Perry County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Barry P. Sander, 48, was traveling northbound in a 2010 Kia Soul, and a 1996 Kenworth truck, driven by Don K. Waltemate, 60, was going south on Highway 51, the report said. The accident occurred at 3:40 a.m., half a mile north of Route C in Perry County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Sander was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:30 a.m. by Perry County Coroner Herb Miller.
