Jackson lawmaker given award by judicial group

State Rep. Scott Lipke, R-Jackson, was recently awarded the 2005 Missouri Judicial Conference Legislator of the Year award at the Judicial Conference meeting in Kansas City. This is the second year that Lipke has received the award at the conference. The Missouri Judicial Conference is a statewide organization of all Misjudges. The conference meets each year to recognize and honor service to Missouri and the state's judiciary. Lipke was honored for his work, support and leadership of judicial issues throughout Missouri during the 2005 legislative session. In addition to his legislative duties, Lipke is an attorney with the law firm of Jones and Deimund, L.C.
