JACKSON -- The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of the primary annex kindergarten in the Jackson Public Schools will sponsor "Lunch with Santa" on Saturday, Dec. 7.
It will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., just prior to the Jackson Christmas Parade. The lunch will be served as the Immaculate Conception cafeteria in Jackson.
This marks the first year for the fundraiser, according to Annette Wichman, president of the PTO. She said all proceeds from the event will be used to buy much needed supplies for the kindergarten classes.
Advance tickets will be sold Saturday at Schapers IGA and Wal-Mart in Jackson from 8 to 11 a.m. A limited number will also be sold at the door that day, beginning at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $2.50 for both children and adults. Tickets for those under two are $1.50. The meal will consist of burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink.
A limit of 450 tickets will be sold, said Wichman.
Parents are encouraged to bring cameras to photograph their children with Santa.
