JACKSON - The Jackson School District will conduct kindergarten and first-grade enrollment for the 1992-93 school year on Friday, said Joe Crain, director of elementary education.
Enrollment will be from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Primary Annex Building on Jefferson Street behind the district's administrative office building at Jefferson and Oklahoma.
"Parents of children who will be age 5 before July 1, 1992, are urged to enroll them at this time," said Crain. "Any students who have not attended the kindergarten program and will be 6 years old before July 1, 1992, are to be enrolled for first grade. The first-grade enrollment is for anyone in the Jackson R-2 District and all enrollments will be at the Primary Annex regardless of the attendance area."
Crain said parents or guardians should bring with them a birth certificate of each child, the Social Security number of each child and all immunization records.
"Pre-enrollment is extremely important since bus routing, classroom needs, and class assignments are completed during the summer months," said Crain.
