The American Legion Post 158 of Jackson and the Jackson VFW Post 10495 will host the annual Veterans Day Parade starting at 4 p.m. Monday. Anyone or any group who would like to participate needs to be in front of the old Jackson High School building at 3:30 p.m. for the lineup. The American Legion Post 158 of Jackson and the Jackson VFW Post 10495 will host the annual Veterans Day Parade starting at 4 p.m. Monday.

Anyone or any group who would like to participate needs to be in front of the old Jackson High School building at 3:30 p.m. for the lineup. The parade route will march uptown to the courthouse and turn left on West Main Street to Oklahoma Street and return to the old high school campus.

This year's parade marshal will be Keith Seabaugh, U.S. Navy veteran and a past commander with American Legion Department of Missouri 14th District. After the parade will be a patriotic ceremony at the New McKendree United Methodist Church, 209 S. High St.; the featured speaker for the program will be Sheryl Smith, retired from the U.S. Navy and a commander for American Legion Department of Missouri 14th District. After the ceremony, the church will host a dinner honoring all veterans and their families.
