Acclaimed country music stars Alan Jackson and Faith Hill will appear at the Show Me Center on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
Jackson, who has been nominated for five 1994 Country Music Association awards, including Entertainer of the Year, thrives on a positive attitude.
"I want to write about positive things," Jackson said. "That may sound corny, but I'll leave it to the others to portray the down and out side. If I can add a positive note to the world, I'm satisfied."
Jackson also has been nominated for Country Music Awards Songwriter of the Year for his hit "Chattahoochee."
Although Hill is a relative newcomer, she already has made an impact with her first album "Take Me As I Am."
The first single from the album, "Wild One," scored well on the country charts.
Tickets for this night of country music will go on sale Monday at the Show Me Center box office, Capital Bank, Disc Jockey Records and Schnucks in Cape Girardeau.
