JACKSON GIRL SCOUTS, LEADERS GATHER

JACKSON -- Girls interested in joining Girl Scouts for the 1992-93 school year may register at the Jackson City Pool for $6 on Saturday.

The registration will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. Girls who are presently Girl Scouts will re-register through their troops at a later date.

Girls in kindergarten through 12th grade in Jackson or Oak Ridge may attend the Scout Splash swimming party during registration, sponsored by the Tsalagi Service Unit of the Otahki Girl Scout Council. Admission is one or more new or used books in good condition. The books will be distributed at a later date as a "Right to Read" service project of the Girl Scouts.

In addition, the Tsalagi Service Unit of the Otahki Girl Scout Council will hold its first monthly meeting for the 1992-93 year for leaders and volunteers on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the New McKendree Methodist Church.

Plans for the second annual Scout Splash swimming party and registration date will be discussed.
