JACKSON -- The Jackson Municipal Band will hold its weekly concert tonight at 8 at the band shell in City Park.
Special guest will be Robyn Hosp, who has been singing professionally for 15 years. She has performed in Nashville as a soloist and with groups, and has made appearances on local television. She performs as a regular with the theater group "Spotlight Tonight." Hosp is in demand for concerts at various local churches and civic organizations.
Her program will consist of several contemporary gospel numbers done Sandi Patti style and other favorites in her own style. She will be joined on stage by several of her friends performing a special number.
The band's portion of the concert will include selections from famous musicals by Broadway composers Bricuse and Newley. The overture will be "Light Calvery," the marches "On the Mall" and "Rifle Regiment" along with the toe-tappers "Duelin' Banjos" and "Big Horn Boogie" will provide a light flavor to the program.
