Four local teachers will be honored by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce during an upcoming banquet.
Each year, a seven-member committee from the chamber interviews nominees for their Educator of the Year award and chooses the top teachers from each grade level.
The winner will be recognized at the chamber's annual Educator of the Year Banquet April 22 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. For reservations, call 243-8131.
This 2004 Educators of the Year are:
Kindergarten through fifth grade: Linda Blankenship.
Sixth through ninth grade: Patti Miinch.
Tenth through 12th grade: Bob Sink.
Nontraditional: Wanda Young.
