JACKSON - The Jacksonian Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will sponsor a "Meet the School Board Candidates" forum Monday from 7-9 p.m. The program will be held in the R.O. Hawkins Junior High School Library on West Lane.
Those attending the forum will be able to question each candidate about school issues and concerns.
Three candidates are competing for two seats on the school board in the April 7 municipal election. They are incumbent Jeanette Bollinger, and newcomers Marvin Adams and Mark Martin.
Bollinger is completing a one-year, unexpired term on the board. The school board's senior member, John Lorberg, is retiring this year.
Babysitting services will be provided during the forum.
"Meet the School Board Candidates" forums are sponsored each year by the ABWA as a community service project.
Refreshments will be served after the forum.
