Jackson Board of Aldermen action 2/8/05

The board took the following action at Monday night's meeting:

Public Hearings

* Two people spoke against the proposed abandonment of a portion of the Goodson Drive right of way.

Action items

* Approved water and utility easements from Charles and Diane Wendel; the William and Doris Davault Trust; Jerry and Laverne Wilke; the Mark and Danna Taake Trust for the West Jackson Boulevard widening Phase II project.

* Approved sewer and utility easements from Benny and Nelda Hinton; Leo and Carolyn McElrath and Ruth Britzman for the West Jackson Boulevard widening Phase II project.

* Accepted sanitary sewer easement from Ardell and Helen Seabaugh for the Elwanda Drive sewer project.

* Accepted a $63,828 bid from Fabick Bros. Equipment Co. of Cape Girardeau for a Caterpillar 420D backhoe.

* Tabled an ordinance to abandon a portion of the Goodson Drive right of way.
