Held a hearing discussing the past performance by the city of Jackson on behalf of the senior center in carrying out the city's 2002 project for the construction of the new senior center facility at 2690 Traveler's Way.

Action Items

Power and Light Committee

* Accepted the results of the Jackson Citizen Survey, dated Nov. 14, 2005, as prepared and submitted by the Community Outreach Board.

* Approved change order to Big D Electric Inc., of Eldorado, Ill., for a $456.51 increase in the contract amount regarding the West Jackson Boulevard electric relocation project, phase two.

* Set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 to consider an amendment to special-use permit No. 29 for the construction of a warehouse/support facility at 1402 Orchard Drive as submitted by the Reorganized School District.

* Approved the rezoning of certain properties along West Jackson Boulevard, under the West Jackson Boulevard comprehensive rezoning project, phase two.

* Approved an ordinance amending city ordinances regarding the maintenance of sidewalks.

* Approved an ordinance vacating an access easement in Tower Subdivision as requested by Nick Huber.

* Approved an ordinance amending the prohibited parking schedule by adding a no parking designation on North Missouri Street.

Amendments

* Appointed Jane Lysell to fill an unexpired term on the Jackson Library Board ending April 30, 2008.
